Kauan needs ongoing growth hormone treatment. His doctors explain there is a time window for the treatment to work, and every month without the medication compromises the results.
Each dose costs around R$ 6,600 per month. His mother, Jéssica, spent her savings and even sold her car to keep the treatment going while she waits for a court ruling so the state provides it.
The fundraiser aims to cover about 4 months of treatment (R$ 27,000) so Kauan doesn't go without his medication until the ruling comes.
